男,1962 73日出生于陕西。1978年全国部分省市中学生数学竞赛获奖者,1982年毕业于中国科技大学近代物理系,1983年通过李政道教授主持的CUSPEA 去美国William and Mary大学学习,1986年随导师在位于Colorado大学的JILA研究所从事研究一年,1987年底获博士学位,导师是J. B. Delos 教授。1988年初去哈佛大学做博士后,和A.Dalgarno 教授合作研究。1990 9月成为中科院理论物理研究所副研究员,1996年被聘为研究员、博士生导师。
